Mr. Tony M. Huey, Sr. is a Graduate of Baylor University with a dual degree in Management Information Systems and Business Management. He has over 20 years of business and technology leadership, and IT strategy development and implementation experience. He joined Aflac in 2007 as an officer in their Information Technology Organization.
Career Highlights:
Three years with Aflac where he currently holds the position of 2nd VP IT-Advanced Technology. In this role, Tony is responsible for oversight of application development including the Professional Services Organization, Atlanta Technology Center which includes the Atlanta Application Development Center and the Software Research and Development Center, and Aflac’s off-shore development center. Agile and Rapid Development techniques are used to deliver strategic projects to the Business and Operations Support divisions. Key areas of impact are Product Development, Customer Support, Claims Processing, Mobile Applications, the Customer Call Center. Strategic initiatives include portal applications, online claims, or virtual application streaming, policy and policyholder services, and support of the sales and account servicing processes.
Nine (9) years in the consulting industry, where Mr. Huey held various senior leadership and executive positions for Provant (PMSI) Project Management, Trilogy Software and BearingPoint. His primary focus was on Application Development and Technical Project Delivery, Program Management and PMO implementations, as well as Vendor Management and Onshore/Offshore Relationship Development. During this nine year stint, Tony’s primary focus was consulting with industry leaders in the Investment Banking and Public Trading sectors, Major Insurance, other Financial Services organizations, and Telephony.
One (1) year with Atlanta Gas Light as a Senior Manager responsible for developing and implementing processes for their IT Project Management Office.
Nine (9) years with BellSouth (pre-AT&T) in various leadership positions, including Director in the IT Strategic Planning organization. His primary focus was in Wireless expansion; and product and services delivery in the Long Distance, Small and Large Business sectors.
