Good Morning, A reminder -   

 

Please join us for the first PMI Chapter Meeting for 2009 will be
February 5th.  Location: Columbus Main Library 3000 Macon Road.  Lunch
(on your own) and networking at 11:30am, the program begins at 12 noon.
Our guest speaker will be Andrea Krasnoff of TenStep Consulting
Services. Ms. Krasnoff's exciting topic will include: Green Project
Management:  Aligning environmental considerations into project
management knowledge areas and processes.

the Project Management Institute.

Krasnoff has more than 17 years in project management, program
management, and PMOs. She has managed and delivered projects of various
sizes, including rescuing and successfully delivering troubled projects
for several clients. She has been responsible for development groups and
consistently delivered business-related systems to meet strategic
business needs. Her primary focus has been in advertising/media, sales
order management, trade promotion, and distribution business systems
primarily in the consumer products and publishing industries. Krasnoff
has leveraged her experience into training and consulting in her areas
of expertise. Work experience includes Andersen Consulting, CAP Gemini,
The Coca-Cola Company, and Network Communications Inc.

Mark your calendars for the next Columbus PMI chapter meeting, March 5th

speaker will be Dr. Yair Raz, General Manager Precision Components
International, Inc. (PCI)

 

Dr. Yair Raz, General Manager PCI (Pratt & Whitney Aircraft / Blades
Technology Joint Venture), has over 29 years of experience in leadership
roles, both in the military and the aerospace industry.  Dr. Raz's
career began in the navy as a naval officer - Lt. Commander Raz
specialized in submarines serving five years of active duty and over 20
years of reserve service.  Dr. Raz holds a mechanical engineering
degree, a masters degree in material sciences and he also holds a
doctorate degree in business administration as well.  Dr. Raz has held
key aerospace executive positions for over 24 years.

 

In 1995 Dr. Raz led the turn-around operation of J.V. with Pratt &
Whitney.  In 1998 Dr. Raz led the technological J.V. with XAT in China,
the J.V. between BTL & the aviation industry of China.  In 1999 Dr. Raz
led the first PCI expansion project - the new campus site.  Since 2001
Dr. Raz has served as PCI marketing director and the director of
operations as well.  Dr. Raz was appointed PCI general manager in 2005.

 

During the last five years PCI has more than doubled its annual sales
and has also added over 150 new PCI positions.  In addition, Dr. Raz is
a recognized leader in the jet engine business and under his leadership
PCI has experienced double digit growth annually.
