John has over 35 years experience in Information Technology. He held positions in various industries including Manufacturing, Hotel supply and Retail sales. Among the highlights of his career are the design and development of systems supporting a major supplier of Aluminum can stock in a ‘greenfield’ plant. His experience includes: Operations, Programming, DBA, Information Engineer and Project Manager. The companies he has worked for are: US Pipe and Foundry, Holiday Inn, Scholl Inc, Logan Aluminum (ALCAN), and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. John earned his BBA from the University of Memphis with a concentration in Quantitative Methods and Business Systems. He earned his PMP in August of 2005.
He has been a member of PMI since 2003. He was the Vice President of Membership and Recruiting prior to being elected as President. In his spare time he volunteers with Columbus Hospice and is an active member of his church and hold the office of Elder.

The President will be responsible for the overall functioning of the Chapter, assuring that the Chapter Board of Directors works together as a team, dedicated to achieving the Chapter vision, mission and overall objectives as detailed in the Chapter Charter.The primary responsibilities of the President include the following:
